This recipe is for a single steak.

STARTING GUIDE

  • Type of Beef Used: Grass fed and finished steak (any cut)

INGREDIENTS
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper

  • 1 tablespoon butter

  • 1 sprig of tyme

  • 1 sprig rosemary

  • 1 steak of your choice 2″ thick for this recipe

INSTRUCTIONS
  • Heat cast iron skillet until a bead of water will immediately dance on skillet and evaporate.

  • Add olive oil to skillet and allow to heat momentarily.

  • Add steak and sear on one side for 3 minutes.

  • After 3 minutes turn steak and put the entire pan in an oven preheated to 425. Let cook for approximately 8 minutes or until desired level of doneness is achieved.

NOTES

For best results use high quality grass fed beef.
